1히스기야가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 이십구 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 아비야라 스가랴의 딸이더라
1Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old; and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.
2히스기야가 그 조상 다윗의 모든 행위와 같이 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하여
2He did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that David his father had done.
3원년 정월에 여호와의 전 문들을 열고 수리하고
3He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of Yahweh’s house, and repaired them.
4제사장들과 레위 사람들을 동편 광장에 모으고
4He brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the broad place on the east,
5저희에게 이르되 레위 사람들아 내 말을 들으라 이제 너희는 성결케 하고 또 너희 열조의 하나님 여호와의 전을 성결케 하여 그 더러운 것을 성소에서 없이하라
5and said to them, “Listen to me, you Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify Yahweh’s house, the God of your fathers, and carry out the filthiness out of the holy place.
