1히스기야가 온 이스라엘과 유다에 보내고 또 에브라임과 므낫세에 편지를 보내어 예루살렘 여호와의 전에 와서 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 위하여 유월절을 지키라 하니라
1Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to Yahweh’s house at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel.
2왕이 방백들과 예루살렘 온 회중으로 더불어 의논하고 이월에 유월절을 지키려 하였으며
2For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the Passover in the second month.
3이는 성결케 한 제사장이 부족하고 백성도 예루살렘에 모이지 못한고로 그 정한 때에 지킬 수 없었음이라
3For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
4왕과 온 회중이 이 일을 선히 여기고
4The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.
5드디어 명을 발하여 브엘세바에서부터 단까지 온 이스라엘에 반포하여 일제히 예루살렘으로 와서 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 유월절을 지키라 하니 이는 기록한 규례대로 오래동안 지키지 못하였음이더라
5So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: for they had not kept it in great numbers in such sort as it is written.
